The KBeDesign™ is an Aker Solutions engineering automation tool developed for Oil & Gas offshore platform engineering design and construction, built on top of a commercial Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) application. Aker Solutions is one of the pioneers in using KBE applications to improve its competitive edge in the Oil & Gas industry. The method has for some years been used in other industries with great success and Aker Solutions´s KBeDesign™ application development has benefited from contacts in the aerospace and automotive industries.
